Microsoft Ships New Windows 11 Cumulative Updates for 25H2, 24H2, and 23H2
Microsoft has pushed out two new cumulative updates for Windows 11, KB5121003 covering the 25H2 and 24H2 releases and KB5120240 targeting 23H2. As with most monthly cumulative patches, the packages bundle a mix of security fixes for vulnerabilities discovered since the last update cycle, general bug fixes for issues affecting stability and performance, and a handful of smaller feature tweaks that Microsoft rolls out gradually rather than saving for a single big release.
Because these updates span three different feature versions at once, the exact contents differ slightly depending on which branch of Windows 11 a machine is running. Users on the older 23H2 branch are closer to the end of their support window, so their update focuses more heavily on security and reliability, while 24H2 and 25H2 users may see a few more under-the-hood refinements alongside the patched vulnerabilities.
As always with Patch Tuesday-adjacent releases, Microsoft has flagged the update as available through Windows Update, with the usual staggered rollout meaning not everyone will see it appear immediately.
