A new deep learning model from Google DeepMind and Google Research promises more frequent, more accurate atmospheric predictions.

Google DeepMind and Google Research have released WeatherNext 3, the newest version of their AI-driven weather forecasting system. The model reflects a broader shift in meteorology, where deep learning techniques are increasingly outperforming or complementing traditional physics-based simulation models run on supercomputers.
